Unfortunately, our computer was down and we just learned of Mr. Snook's death. His passing is a great loss. It was Mr. Snook who suggested that I visit the Detroit Conservatory of Music and ask for an unbiased opinion of my piano playing. This led to studying there through highschool and then obtaining a college degree in music education after HS. He was a good man and did "put up" with noisy rambunctious kids during choir practice. I am grateful for his kindness and interest in me as a 10th grader. God bless you Mr.Snook. I bet you are busy adding to the heavenly music with your exceptional talents. Sincerely Maryellen, Class of '57.

My memories of high school always include thoughts of Mr. Snook, he was a very patient and tolerable man putting up with all my shenanigans with Jimmy Aho, etc. He made us sound like professionals at concert time. I adored him! He made high school worth it! My sincerest sympathies to his family for their loss.

Art introduced me to the Meadow Brook Hall organ for the Holiday Walk several years ago. He was very kind and patient in explaining an overwhelming set-up for me. Have been playing the walk ever since and think of him every year.

We will cherish the day at Meadowbrook when Doug
introduced Art to his mom. It was during the Christmas/
Holiday Walk. Sophie will be 95 in May. She had a stroke two weeks later and suffers severe memory loss. and is in a nursing home.

Art was a great guy & WWII Vet.
Blessings to all,

So sorry to hear of your loss, Margaret. I'll remember your Dad as such a wonderful neighbor with a good sense of humor. I'll miss the walks passed the house when he'd sit at his piano playing his favorite songs. If I can help, pleas feel free to call. Thanks, Art, for sharing so much of yourself with all your neighbors !

Mr. Snook was my music teacher in 1974. He taught me one of the neatest things I ever learned in Jr. High - all of the Big Ten fight songs. I always think of him whenever I start singing the words to one of these songs. My deepest sympathy to your family. May God bless you and Mr. Snook.

Mr. Snook was my high school music teacher. Always loved his class the most. Every time I hear the Hallelujah Chorus, I think of him and the Christmas concerts where all the alumni joined us on stage to sing that song. It was beautiful! Thank you , Mr. Snook, for great memories and for being a wonderful teacher.

I had Mr Snook in 8th grade at Wolfe. He introduced me to the world of the Detroit Symphony which I've passed on to my son. Sixten Erling was conductor then. The odd tidbits we remember. I also took part in his free after school piano classes. I was no good but again I passed onto my son and he was excellent. Thank you Mr Snook.
