I am sorry we didn't find out about Art's passing till now. We held him in our hearts for a very long time. We first met Art when we lived in Ham Lake in 1991. He was always such a great part of our lives. Sharing his garden, talking politics, giving his opinion about current events. I always aspired to be like him at his age. We would have him over for Thanksgiving and he would go on for hours and make us so very happy with his memories of days gone by. We lost touch after leaving Ham Lake. Totally, our loss. He was a good caring and loving man. He is in the arms of the Lord and will be missed by many. God Bless you Art. Thanks for touching our lives.

I helped care for Art at the Sterling House. He was always one of my favorites! He was such a spitfire who always told it like it was.
Rest in peace Art. You will be greatly missed.

Here's a photo of Art taken 20-odd years ago by someone who liked to develop their own work. Sorry, don't know who it was. i think he's winding his pocket watch.

My first memory of Uncle Art was a trip to the dairy in Minnesota. I was about 10 years old. We traveled all the way from South Texas.
I remember chasing chipmunks and chickens. Eventually we made it to town for ice cream. It was Uncle Art's treat!
I didn’t have very many conversations with Uncle Art, I remember him as quiet. But, my youngest son (Winsten) remembers that he had a pretty good sense of humor.
I remember my Grandpa (Carl) and Uncle Art chatting and spending time together. I hope they are fishing right now...

When I heard that Art had passed, my first thought was, now he is with my Dad in heaven, his good friend Ed Monson! I have many fond memories of Art. Picking vegetables with him was always fun. Rest in peace Art and know that you are missed and loved!
