Beloved husband of Beverly nee Murray; loving father of Arthur P. Herron III, Jane (Gregory) McDaniel, Michael (Michele), Bridget (Timothy) Taylor and Timothy (Chie); dear grandfather of Kathleen, John, Brian and Kenji; fond brother of the late John (the late Ann).
Resting at Kopicki's Heritage Funeral Home, (Kopicki-Herron Directors), 3117 South Oak Park Avenue, Berwyn, Il. 60402. Visitation Friday, March 27, 2015, 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Saturday, March 28, 2015, 9:30 a.m. prayers to St. Leonard Church for 10:30 a.m. mass. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
4th Degree Knights of Columbus Berwyn #4200 and Bonita Springs 8877. Former owner of Herron and Sons Funeral Home of Berwyn. Former Security Supervisor at Western Electric. Member of the Holy Family Institute and Berwyn Lions.

My condolences to Bev and family on their loss of Art. He was a dear, sweet, intelligent man with a gracious soul & wonderful sense of humor (for a Republican). I am a better person for having the honor and privilege of knowing him. I will miss him greatly. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am very saddened at the loss of Mr. Herron. My childhood friendship with Tim brought me into his house where I learned some of the Herron Family values. The most profound for my teenage mind was that of accountability and what it meant to be a reliable man.
His house was the only place I ever felt 100% comfortable because no one was ever treated as "Tims Friend" but part of the family. Mr. Herron had a way of giving you a few concise words with a firm yet gentle guiding look over the top of a newspaper. He didn't lecture; he left gems of knowledge and if you blinked, you missed it. It was always a good push in the right direction. I also never got out of the house without a loving word from Mrs. Herron. Almost 30 years later and they are still my best high school memories.
Mr. Herrons presence will undoubtedly be missed by many but I will look for his strength, candor, intellect and honest nature in his beautiful wife and children. You all have my most heartfelt condolences and life long respect.
