Monsieur, you were an amazing man, who inspired us all to learn all we could about other cultures. We knew you cared about us and loved what you did. You and Madame gave my friends and me some lasting memories of high school that we still talk about today. You inspired me and were one of the reasons for my French and education majors in college. I am sure there are hundreds of previous students who would agree, your kindness helped shape who we are today. In peace....

Adieu cher Ami. Vous étiez mon prof préféré et une inspiration pour moi dans la vie.
Mr. Bonds was my favorite teacher at Wheaton North. He made learning fun and his passion and dedication to teaching was obvious to see. His inspiration is one of the reasons why I've been living in France for the past 15 years. I remember not so long ago coming back to visit him at WNHS. His death comes as a shock to me and he will be dearly missed.

I am very upset at the death of Mr. Bonds. He was my inspiration to learn French in high school, and later when I attented college, and then took Italian. He was a good, kind-teacher that everyone loved! Plus, he spoke French with a natural accent. Repose en paix, bon professeur!

I had Mr. Bonds as a French teacher for four years in the 70's. He is by far the most influential, and memorable teacher of my school years. He was not only an incredible educator, but an amazing person. He carried himself wth such dignity in all ways, and treated his students with love and respect. He made me fall in love with the French culture and language, and was my inspiration to become a French teacher myself! I could tell from my first day of class with him that he loved Jesus. He just radiated Christ-likeness. I will always remember him fondly, and look forward to seeing him one day in Heaven! Au revoir, Monsieur Bonds!

I was so sorry to come across Mr. Bonds' obituary in the newspaper today. I was one of his students at Wheaton North High School. I did not have the good fortune of seeing him after graduating from H.S. However, he left a lasting impression on me as a person. Mr. Bonds treated everyone with courtesy, respect and kindness. I will not forget his everlasting warm smile.

Adding to the growing list of his former students, I know I am not alone in commenting that Mr. Bonds was such a memorable teacher in the best of ways. He brought care, kindness, a great sense of purpose to his classroom. It is certainly a testament to his influence how many of us from 30 years ago, still hold such fond memories of his classroom.

You were a blessing to everyone who knew you and a blessing to those who didn't know you! From one Shipite to another, I'm proud to say we're brothers. You were the "Best Dressed Brother" in the city. You always carried yourself with dignity and pride. Thank you for your ministry of service in bible teaching, speaking, announcing, and everything you did for so so many. Now take your rest! The Father has welcomed you home. Let the Church say Amen. Humbly and Wholeheartedly submitted.
