Arline A. James

Arline Audrey (Gall) James, beloved mother, grandmother and die-hard Wisconsin Badgers fan, died on January 3rd, 2016, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer and the complexities of old age. She was 91 1/2 years old.

A longtime resident of the LaGrange Highlands, the former Wisconsin native and retired school teacher was the mother of three daughters and a grandmother to boy/girl twins who were the light of her life.

She was a lifetime member of Hope Lutheran Church in Countryside, IL, and an avid reader who loved Bestsellers. She had a big heart, a gentle sense of humor, a dedication to Jesus Christ and a quietly strong soul that touched everyone she ever knew. She will be missed forever.

She is survived by daughters, Cynthia James of LaGrange, IL; Debbie (Greg) Buyan of Monee, IL; and Sallie James of Tamarac, FL; and grandchildren, Cameron and Gabriela Goetgeluck, also of Tamarac.

Mrs. James was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Caldwell James; her parents, Otto and Ida Gall; and brother, Warren Gall.

A memorial service is pending.
