Arlene Hope Siska (nee Liska, Hill, Krause) passed away at home with her children by her side on August 10, 2017.

Arlene was born Nov. 25, 1933 in Oak Park, IL to James and Marie Liska, where she grew up with sister Margie Liska-Heier (deceased Aug. 9, 1992) and attended Morton High School in Berwyn, IL. She is survived by her children, Cathy Hill (Dave Halper), Jim Hill (wife TeeJay), Tony Hill (wife Barbara), Michael Hill, (wife Denise), Claudia Siska-Andersen (husband Steve) Craig Siska (wife Linda); and niece's, Karen Vernay (Lennie), Jill Morse (husband Paul), Debbie Kurtz (husband Jeff); twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

I'm a bit late to chime in, but I was thinking about Aunt Arlene on Friday and these memories came to mind from when I was a kid. I'll share here . . . Arlene was quite a fashion plate when she was in her early thirties and my sisters and I were the recipients of her occasional hand-me-downs, the only problem was she had such a tiny waist and even though I was much younger her clothes were tight on me!! She also was so nice to play games with us as kids, I think she enjoyed playing The Barbie Game as much as we did! I also have fond memories of her animated stories which kept us laughing at her and along with her, she was a good sport!
Sending condolences to my cousins and her family.

Arlene was my Mother's first cousin, she was a wonderful woman who shared so many memories with me. She was a wonderful mother and had that wonderful smile that lit up a room. I will remember fondly and send my thoughts and prayers to her family.
