Dear family...
I was told of Anthony's passing only within the last few days. I grew to know him during our 8th grade class with Pat Bresnehan... I felt a weight so heavy sinking inside when I heard. Please know that I am near constantly thinking of you all, and thinking of Anthony...

I don't know how I didn't hear of this until today. Anthony was such a delightful boy when we knew him when our kids were in daycare together so long ago! Patrick is in college in AZ and Thomas is a Jr. in WWSHS; I will treasure them all the more after this sad news. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Dear Anthony,
I remember when we would hang out and skate almost everyday in the summers. We would always cause havoc and go out looking for fun. We would always try and better ourselves at skating hoping to one day get sponsored or something. Things were so good back then worry free for the both of us. Not a day goes by where something reminds me of you. Well I miss u buddy, rest well as we all will someday. "ESTABLISHED IN 1989 UNTIL MY FATHER IN HEAVEN CALLS MY NAME". Your good friend and neigbor, JOE MCFADDEN.

Dear Steven -

Your grandfather (George) and my Dad were brothers ... (Uncle Phil) ... you and I met some thirty years ago (but I don't think you remember me). When I was a young girl I always looked up to your Mom (Helene) ... she was my idol(although I don't think she ever knew it).

Enough about our family background ... I am writing to tell you and Sue how deeply saddened I am to hear about the passing of your "beautiful son Anthony."

May he rest in peace!

God Bless you and your family,

Anna Marie

Dear DeChiara family,
I m so very sorry to hear of your lost.Though I never met Anthony, I knew him through his Uncle Philip and my Sister Rosalie.
I do know that Anthony was very much loved by his uncle and adopted Aunt Rosalie. I would recall how Uncle Philip would get news about his nephews, and say proudly.."My boys, my boys."
We have so many dreams and hopes for our children. You just hope they know that they are loved. And know this that Anthony was very much loved by his family and friends.
May the knowlege that Anthony was loved by so many bring some peace to your family.

With all my sympathy,
Anita Esposito

Nanny and Poppa De Chiara

August 19, 2008

Anthony:
My main man. I've called you that since you were born. And you will always be my main man.
My main man.
A-man.
Anth.
Some of the nicknames we all called you.
There are more, but I can't say them all in church.

When you came into this world you changed us all in an instant.
From Mom and Dad, along with Phyllis and Stan, we became Nanny and Poppa; Steve and Sue transformed into Mom and Dad; And you created a legion of Aunts and Uncles and cousins.

We cradled you as an infant.
Held your hand as a toddler.
And as a young adult, we (lovingly) tried to show you the way.

Anth- I will miss your familiar refrain of HEY NANNY.
Usually the start of your pushing my buttons, getting my goat or your way of getting a rise out of me. And I fell for it each time. And as my blood pressure would go up, you'd give me that little lopsided smile and Poppa would say - He's just trying to get you!
Hey Nanny - lets go to Mongolian Barb-b-que - knowing full well I can't stand the place.

I think you and I were the only ones that loved Bennigans ribs with Guinness sauce (see they went out of business).

Hey Nanny - my artwork isn't framed right, you cut off the best part! Poppa messed up the framing. Lets blame him. We will re-frame them correctly. You were a great artist. And it's an honor and a privilege to have your creations hanging on my wall - not to mention our graffiti covered basement wall.

I will miss our private little nudge when we come to church and the presider was announced as Father Joel - ( we love you Father Joel, but you can get a little wordy at times).

I will miss your resistance to eating my pasta and gravy - what kind of Italian boy were you?

Anthony-
You were a creative, bright, adventurous boy.
With plans, and schemes and ambitions. You were shy, reserved and unsure of yourself. But you were our boy. And no matter what, you filled our lives with love, laughter and more then a few tears. And although life and YOU were far from perfect, Poppa and I will cherish and hold dear every moment, every second, every day and every year that we had you in our lives.

I truly trust in the Lord, but I can't help wondering why... All I can come to believe is that the Lord has a plan and a reason for everything and everyone. And He tool you home to dwell in his peace and love.

Anthony - you were one of the four bright lights in our lives and now one of them is dimmed.

I know you knew how much the entire family loved you. We will always love you. We will never forget you - our boy, our main man.

For all of Anthony's family,

My deepest sympathies and
prayers are with you now.
Words are inadequate to
express the feelings of loss
and tragedy I feel on Anthony's
passing. Understanding "why" is so
difficult; know and believe that Anthony is at peace and
with God now.

My thoughts and prayers are with
you all.

Our deepest heartfelt thoughts and prayers are out to all of you. When Philip called with the tragic sudden lost I was up all night. It seems not so long ago such bright memories of little Anthony fishing with Steve, going out on a bike ride with Sue, lifting him up in my arms swinging him around till we were both dizzy with laughs during one of Sam's birthday parties.

An Easter weekend and other visits were surrounded with allot of love from his family and friends which we will always cherish being a part of! May the most special, happy times help bring peace of mind, calmness in your hearts & spirit during this most difficult time.

God Bless Everyone, Rosie, Lucas and Christopher
