Annie Connelley Obituary

CONNELLEY, Annie YEMASSEE - Mrs. Annie May Gatch Connelley, 86, widow of the late Oliver Benjamin "Ben" Connelley, died Monday afternoon in the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, after an extended illness. Mrs. Connelley ws born in Hampton County, July 1, 1918, a daughter of the late Charles Frederick Gatch and Maybell Utsey Gatch. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Ridgeville Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, and was a member of the Women's Missionary Union. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Judy Connelley of Orangeburg; grandson and wife, Rhett and Patty Connelley of Orangeburg; granddaughter, Carin Connelley of Charleston; and two great-granddaughters, Katie and Brysen Connelley both of Orangeburg. Mrs. Connelley ws predeceased in death by a grandson, Charles M. Connelley, II. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery in Yemassee. Friends may call at the chapel in Hampton at 1 p.m. on Wednesday prior to services. The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials to the Ridgeville Baptist Church, 354 Ridgecut Road, Early Branch, SC 29916 or the Ebenezer Cemetery Association, P.O.
