Angeline Lopatka Obituary

Angeline Lopatka, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on October 25, 2014, at 7:50 p.m. She was born in Chicago, IL on September 27, 1925, the oldest of 9 children.
Angeline was an active, talented woman participating in community organizations, Church and local politics. She was Deputy Clerk of York Township, Republican Committee Woman, President of the Republicans Women's Club, President of the Villa Park Garden Club and St. Alexander's Council of Catholic Women. During her life she had many accomplishments. The 23 volumes of poetry she wrote are a testament to her passion for writing. All who knew her will remember her happy smile and positive attitude.
Angeline is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Joyce Lopatka Sawicki; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Kohring Lopatka Nauretz; grandsons, Walter Lopatka and Matthew Lopatka; and great grandchildren, Adam, Steven, Kevin, Julia, Emily, Joey and Tommy.
A one hour viewing will be held at St. Alexander Church Gathering Place at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. on November 3, 2014. St. Alexander Catholic Church300 S Cornell Avenue, Villa Park, IL. 630-833-7730.

Mrs. Lopatka was a distinguished writer and award-winning poet as well as a dedicated public servant in Villa Park for many years.
