Andrew Bochnovic Obituary

Andrew Bochnovic, 84, of Indian Head Park, formerly of Western Springs died July 12th at Autumn Leaves in Orland Park after a long illness. Born December 5th, 1925 in a small village in Slovakia, Mr. Bochnovic was a World War II and Korean War veteran of the United States Navy. After graduating from Rutgers University, Mr. Bochnovic worked for Prudential Insurance for 30 years. He served as President of the Leisure Men's Club, The Western Springs Village Club, was active at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church and an avid Bridge player. Andy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Florence and children; David and wife Janice (Durham, NC), Peter and wife Mary (Aurora, IL), Barbara and husband Bill (Eugene, OR), Alice and husband Willy (Burbank, CA), Daniel and wife Tina (LaGrange, IL) and Anne Marie (Chicago, IL) Poppa to Andrew, Kiel, Clayton, Marissa, James, Ian, Michael and Ellwood. A private ceremony celebrating his life will be held at a later date. I´m sorry for your loss..just looked now..Andy was my boss many years ago at Pru.. I married a girl from the dept and Andy was at the wedding..believe I have a pic of him in our album

It was my honor to work as a chaplain for Mr. Bochnovic and his family. His appreciation of music and close family spoke deeply of his love of family, faith, and friendship.

My sincere condolences to the family of Andrew Bochnovic. Andy and I worked together at Prudential for many years. It was always a pleasure being with him. Very sorry to learn of his long illness and death. I'm sure his wonderful family will provide ample support for all to adjust to his loss in the weeks and months to come. Tom Lyons
