Amy Marie Carson, 53, passed away on January 29, 2024, surrounded by her adoring family in Peoria, Illinois. Her loss was completely unexpected, and her family is profoundly saddened.
Amy was born on February 3, 1970, to Edna and Randall Shepardson in Downers Grove, IL. In her childhood, Amy was a lively, curly-haired spitfire with an eye for mischief. Amy and her brother, Mark, were always up to some kind of trouble together and were blamed for adding a few gray hairs to their parents. After graduating from high school, Amy continued her education and had many jobs along the way. Her titles included financial advisor and manager, however, her most aspired title in life was "Mom". In 1996, Amy met Robin Carson, her husband and partner in life. They were together for nearly 27 years. They enjoyed traveling, going for walks, motorcycle rides, and raising their family. Amy and Robin had two children together, Lauren and Brett.
Amy had the biggest heart and the best laugh. She was a private and quiet person, but also very spirited and silly! She was brave and tenacious, yet sensitive and incredibly understanding. She treasured traveling, nature, cooking, crafts, thrifting, gardening, refinishing furniture, and her animals. She was the most devoted mother and had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person in the world. We will remember her warmth, her joy, and her love. The love she shared will be with us for the rest of our lives.
