Born in Joliet, IL on September 7, 1936 to Alvin J. and Irene (nee Hillsman) Maas. Beloved husband of the late Nancy and Ann; loving father of Arlean (the late Tyler) Groff, Alvina (Jose) Serna, Edward Maas, Verne (Michele) Maas, Kelly (Vince) DiNapoli and Richard (Cindy) Busching; devoted grandfather of 13, great grandfather of 12 and step-grandfather of 9; dearest brother of Richard, Paul and Ronald Maas and Lois Haywood.
Visitation Thursday July 28, 2016 from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Gerharz-Cappetta Funeral Home, 501 State St., Lemont. Funeral Services Thursday 8:00 P.M. Interment private.
