Alvin Chodora Obituary
Alvin "Big Al" James Chodora, Jr., age 64, of Mooresville, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.
He was born on February 2, 1950, in Chicago, to the late Alvin James and Irene Rose Korecky Chodora. Al was a graduate of Southern Illinois University. He was a retired police officer for Lagrange Park, and also was a retired deputy fire chief in Lagrange Park. Racing was Al's passion.
Al is survived by his wife, Christine "Chris" Abrahamson Chodora; children, A.J. Chodora, III of Charlotte, NC, Paul Chodora and granddaughters, Braelynn and Addisyn Chodora of Port Orange, FL, Katie Chodora of Mooresville, NC; sister, Kathy Forsythe and husband, Glenn of Seattle, WA.
The family will be celebrating Al's life in the Spring in his home state of Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory Junction Gang, 4500 Adam's Way. Randleman, NC 27317 and/or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society NC Chapter, 4530 Park Road Suite 240, Charlotte, NC 28209.

I was friends with Alvin in the late 50's. His father had a butcher shop where my mother and grandmother shopped.
