Alice M. Schawel, age 89, a longtime resident of LaGrange Park, IL, passed away August 5, 2015, at St. Patrick's Residence in Naperville, IL. She was born November 15, 1925, in Chicago.
Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael J. Schawel; her son, Michael R. Schawel; her mother, Ann Brown; and her sister, Joyce Yde and her brother, Richard Brown.
She is survived by her sons, James K. (Linda) Schawel and Daniel T. Schawel; her brother-in-law, Roland (Bernice) Schawel; and her longtime friend, Marilyn Flynn.
Alice retired LaGrange Memorial Hospital after many years of faithful service.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, August 29, at 10:30 a.m. for graveside committal services at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
