Alice was a highly regarded colleague who went about her teaching efficiently and effectively. As an educator in her field, she was serving special education students in a program that preceded the reforms of the seventies. Therefore, she was a great support to the large numbers of new special educators who were hired then. Always quiet and unruffled, Alice could calm tearful parents, encourage students, and efficiently deal with the onslaught of new paperwork requirements. She excelled at diagnostics as well as pedagogy. I am so privileged to have had the benefit of her support and advice early in my own journey as a special educator and administrator. May she Rest In Peace. Please accept my most sincere condolences.
