Alice M. Klecka nee Palach, 88, of Brookfield, IL, formally of Cicero, passed away on December 6, 2009, surrounded by her family, in her home of 55 years. Born in Chicago on February 9, 1921 to Joseph and Anna Palach (nee Bastyr). Beloved mother, grandmother, step grandmother, step great-grandmother, aunt and great-aunt. Preceded in death by her husband Joe, and her brother, William (Bill) Palach. She was the mother of Joel (Chris) Klecka, Glen (her live in care giver), Gale (Irv) Kieback, "Grams", "Nana" to Tara Klecka, April (Jeremy) Armer, Trent and Scott Kieback; step grandmother to Cathy (Chuck) Splete, Rich and Dan Kloubec; step great-grandmother to Caterina and Charlie Splete; sister-in-law to Gladys Palach; aunt to Karen Ann (Bob) Schramek, Sharon Simek, Alice (Jim) Spera and their son Shawn and a dear friend to many. Her family and friends meant so much to her and she kept in touch with birthday and greeting cards, phone calls and visits. We will all miss her dearly and know that she will never be forgotten by the many lives she has touched. There will be no visitation or funeral as those were her wishes. Alice always realized the importance of the organ donor program and her wish would be for everyone to consider participating in it. In lieu of flowers or donations, per her written wishes - please enjoy a gathering of friends or family in her memory. .

So sorry to hear of Aunt Alice's death. As Christmas approaches I remember all of the wonderful times visiting her family. The food and companionship was always wonderful.
