Alfrieda Bruce Obituary

Alfrieda Wentland Bruce. Born July 4, 1924 in Forest Park, Illinois. Passed away August 20, 2008 at her West Chicago home. 53 year resident of West Chicago, formerly of Forest Park. Alfrieda and Harry also enjoyed their summer months with their new found friends in Woodruff, Wisconsin. Alfrieda was a homemaker. In their early retirement years, Alfrieda and her husband Harry, started "Ye Olde Crafters" out of their home, and sold their crafts at various craft shows in the area. Alfrieda was the Past President of the West Chicago Women's Club, former Sunday school teacher at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Chicago, crafted Afghans and wall hangings at church, as well as volunteered and chaired many charitable causes. Beloved wife of 62 years to Harry. Loving mother of James Bruce, Timothy (Tina) Bruce and Terence (Amanda) Bruce. Proud grandmother of Clayton (Stephanie), Giles, Emma, Robert, Justin, Jacob, Kody and Peyton. Dear sister of Henry (Charlotte) Wentland, Joan (the late Hank) Bentel, the late Theodore (Frieda) Wentland and the late Ewald Wentland. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
