Alfred Dalby Obituary

Alfred W. Dalby, age 75, born November 23, 1934, Batavia, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010, Spring Valley, IL. For 3 years he lived at the LaSalle Veterans Home-LaSalle and he was formerly of Batavia. He was a Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. He worked as a painter until retiring. He was a member of the Batavia V.F.W. Survivors include his daughters Mrs. Terry (Hank) Hieghten of Alabama, Mrs. Vicki (Quincy) McIver of Louisiana, Mrs. Connie (Carl) Robinson of Spring Valley; sons Aldred Dalby Jr. of Illinois; Christian Dalby of Wisconsin; sister Mrs. Christina (Norm) Johnson of Batavia; 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents Chris and Hedwig (Hinsen) Dolby; a grandson; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Burial service will be at a later date in Batavia. The Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley assisted the family with arrangements. 815-663-5021
