Albino Chicado Obituary

Albino "Al" Chicado, age 96, a 71 year resident of Lyons passed away. He immigrated from Carsano, Italy (Croatia). Beloved husband of the late Rose (Pszcola); compassionate and caring father of Nancy (Joseph) Fillip and Natalie (Bob) Shantz; cherished grandfather of Theresa, Rachel, Andrew and Elizabeth; great-grandfather of Payton, Daniel, Mena, Robby and Claira; fond brother of Craig; uncle to many nieces and nephews; also many relatives and close friends. Preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. He was a WWII Army veteran. He survived the Battle of the Bulge and Normandy. Mr. Chicado retired in 1979 when he was a Stationary Engineer for Reynolds Aluminum Wing and Metal Company at the McCook plant and formerly of Argo Corn Products. He loved fishing. Visitation was Monday from 3-9 p.m. at Tower Home for Funerals, 4007 S. Joliet Ave. (Just south of Ogden Ave.) Lyons, IL 60534.
