Alan Shiels Obituary

SHIELS. - Alan Roy. Passed away suddenly 2.6.1930 - 14.4.2011 Loving and much loved husband of Beryl, adored father of Deborah and cherished mate of Xavier. Alan, you've travelled a long road over the years but we did it together. Now you are at peace. Your courage and determination proved your strength of character and for that I have immense admiration for you. I will miss you terribly, with all my love - Beryl. My dear Dad, our special bond gave us the opportunities to share so many of our loves together. Endless trips in the Kingswood to the "Bike Races", countless footy matches all over the State and many "Jam Sessions" listening to our favourite music. Our dry wit and cheeky sense of humour, we understood our jokes, that was the main thing. Boy, could you Jive, thanks for teaching me. Rest easy Dad, you're forever in my heart. Much love - Debbie. I'll miss our chats and laughs Al, all things motorbikes, football and your memories of the Good ol' Carlton days. Our shared good taste in a Bourbon and Coke live on. I'm honoured to be your son-in-law and grateful you were my mate. Cheers Al - Xavier. Private Cremation

SHIELS. - Alan. Much loved Dad of Jennifer and Pa to Amy, Jessie, Corey and Brooke. Dearest Dad, as a little girl you were my hero, times were tough but you didn't give up on me and I love you for that. I am so saddened that I couldn't do that for you. Even though we didn't see each other recently, you were never out of my mind. I will keep cherished memories in my heart and hope one day you will forgive me. Rest in peace Dad. Love - Jenny.
