Alan M. Plica, age 63, died suddenly December 14, 2017.
Loving husband of Lynn Plica (nee: Cambalik) for 39 years. Devoted father of Kellie (Ruben) Villarreal and Keri Plica. Cherished grandfather of Jax, Harper and Gianna Villarreal. Dear brother of Gary (Debbie) Plica and uncle of Brian, Nicole, Elizabeth and Bobby. Son-in-law of Bob and Joanie Cambalik. Brother-in-law of Dave (Barb) Cambalik.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Frank Plica.
Al was a dedicated mail carrier for 31 years for the US Postal Service, North Riverside, IL.
Visitation Tuesday, December 19th from 3:00 to 9:00 pm at Adolf Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. 7000 S. Madison St; Willowbrook. Funeral service Wednesday, December 20th 11:00 am at the funeral home, where the services will conclude.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to your favorite charity would be appreciated.

Your family is in my prayers at this sad time. I saw Al almost everyday for quite a few years. He was there through sunshine, rain, snow or sleet. He always said hello with a wonderful smile. He was even nice to my dog who always barked at him! I'll miss him. God Bless You

My prayers are with your family at this sad time. I saw Al almost every day, sunshine, rain, snow sleet, he was there. A true gentle, kind and friendly man. He was even nice to my dog who always barked at him. I'll miss him. God Bless You

Al was the best, I am so sorry for the loss to your family. He was our carrier for many years and through many family issues and sicknesses always asked how everyone was doing every single day. I travel for work and just happened to be gone last week. He will be truly missed by my family and I'm sure by everyone else on his route. God bless

Al was more than our mailman, as he cared about all his NR customers. He was so kind, accommodating and always had time for a quick chat or a friendly wave. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family.
