Agnes Tansley Obituary

Agnes E. Tansley (nee Nagel), age 98, a 50-year resident of Glen Ellyn, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009 at St. Patrick's Residence in Naperville. Agnes was born October 21, 1910 in Chicago. She was a homemaker. Agnes was a life long member of St. Petronille Catholic Church and volunteered at the DuPage Convalescent Center well into her 80's. She loved to travel and at the age of 84 traveled to Israel with a group from St. Petronille's to see the Holy Land. Agnes was the loving wife of the late Robert; dear mother of James (Judith) of Chicago, Marge of Bonner Springs, KS and Michael of Tinley Park; cherished grandmother of Heidi of Chicago, John (Delma) of Skokie, Janet (Gregory) Pridgen of Gurnee and 3 great-grandchildren; fond sister of Lorraine of Wheaton and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her brothers Raymond, Erwin, Arthur and Robert Nagel. Visitation Wednesday, July 22, 2009 10am until time of Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Petronille Catholic Church, 420 Glenwood Ave., Glen Ellyn. Interment Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Patrick's Residence, 1400 Brookdale Rd., Naperville, IL 60540 or CNS Healthcare & Hospice, 690 E. North Ave., Carol Stream, IL 60188 appreciated. Arrangements are with Leonard Memorial Home of Glen Ellyn, (630) 469-0032.
