ROSEMARY WICK Rosemary "Rose" Wick, passed away peacefully at home in Downers Grove, on October 25, 2013. Rose was a passionat quilter, and a member of several quilting bees. Her quilts are enjoyed by people all over the world. Rose 's hard work, dedication and positive attitude made her a friend to all wo know her. Rose was born on November 8, 1938 in Roseland, Illinois. She was the eldest child of the late Russell Belicove, and Lucille Belicove (Fifield). Rose met her husband of 56 years, Richard Gerald Wick, in Blue Island, Illinois in 1955, when Richard returned from the Korean War. It was fate and late notice that Rose 's date was unable to escort her to her senior prom, that brought them together. Richard was happy to be Rose 's stand in date, dressed in full uniform, escorting the "kid" to her Prom. Richard and Rose married in 1957, and for fifty-six years, built a lifetime of love, and friendship. Together, they had one daughter, Catherine Rose Wick. In addition to quilting, Rose enjoyed traveling, science fiction films, and reading. Rose was an inspiration to many, and loved by all that knew her. She is survived by her husband, Richard Wick, her daughter, Catherine Ehrenberger (Ken), granddaughter, Lisa Radowski (Matthew), and great-grandson, Benjamin Kerr. A memorial service celebrating Rose 's life will be held on November 9, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul 's United Church of Christ, 5739 Dunham Road, Downers Grove, IL.
