Pat Stitsinger Obituary

PAT (REED) STITSINGER Pat (Reed) Stitsinger, age 75, died on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Pat fought a valiant battle against Alzheimer 's disease for the past 11 years, but finally went to be with The Lord. Pat was born in Hamilton, Ohio, where she lived for 38 years, before moving to Glen Ellyn, Illinois. In 2004, she moved to The Villages, Florida. She was a member of New Covenant United Methodist Church. Pat will be remembered for her infectious laugh, and her love of people. She loved gardening, and she loved to shop, and was an expert at both. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Don Stitsinger; daughters, Jodi Hefler (Tom) of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and Wendi Corrigan (Brian) of Carol Stream, Illinois; grandchildren, Michael and Jayme Hefler, Taylor and Joshua Corrigan. She is also survived by her mother, Marion Reed of Hamilton, Ohio, who is 98 years old, and one sister, Mary Lou Warman of Fairfield, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Reed and her brother, Ron Reed. A celebration of life will be held in Glen Ellyn, Illinois in the fall. Any donations can be made to the Alzheimer Family Organization, 6616 Rowan Road, New Port Richey, FL 34653.
