Dudley Daniels "Dan" Dumaine

Dudley Daniels "Dan" Dumaine, affectionately known as Daniel and Bubba, was called home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2025. A faithful servant of God, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life reflected courage, integrity, and selfless service.

A United States Marine, Dan served others in New Hampshire as a decorated police officer in Keene and Troy, a Deputy Sheriff for Cheshire County, a member of the Connecticut River Valley Underwater Rescue Team, a youth sports coach. He later served as an investigator for the New Hampshire Public Defender's Office, founded Dumaine Private Investigations, and represented Rockingham County as a State Representative for nearly a decade, earning respect through leadership grounded in strength, compassion, and justice.

Above all, Dudley loved the Lord and lived his faith daily, guided by Acts 20:35 and Micah 6:8, shaping how he served, led, and loved. He never wavered in sharing the message closest to his heart: "Jesus loves you."

Dudley's earthly race is finished, and he now rejoices in the presence of the Lord he served. Though deeply missed, his family finds comfort in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen (Adamson) Dumaine; his children, siblings, 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederic C. Dumaine III and Millicent Livingston Dumaine.

Celebrations of life were held in Florida on January 7, 2026, followed by interment at the South Florida National Cemetery. A New Hampshire remembrance gathering will be held Friday, January 30, 2026, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at The Venues at the Factory, 252 Willow Street, Manchester.
