Lindy Eriksen Obituary

Lindy Kay Eriksen was born on August 6th,1981 at Elko General Hospital in Elko, NV and passed away on Thursday January 22, 2026 at Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, UT following a long illness. She passed with grace and dignity with her father Mike Eriksen, mother Martha Eriksen and her sister Kelly Eriksen by her side.

Lindy's brilliant, sweet smile lit up the world from the moment she was born. She was a very gentle person, kind and loving. She had a deep compassion for people, especially those going through difficult circumstances or facing hardship. She always wanted to help, however she could. She found her greatest joy in the love of her family & many, many pets through the years. Her humor was subtle sometimes, but she was so funny. She could make us roll with laughter when she came up with a 'good one' and seeing the smile on her face after a joke or funny story was always worth the wait.

Lindy had an intuitive understanding of technology and excelled and enjoyed working with computers. She spent hours of research on different topics, most recently, her cancer.

Lindy graduated from Wells High School in 2000 & earned a diploma as a Professional Animal Care Specialist in 2004. Lindy worked for many years in the offices of Wells Propane Inc., a family owned and operated business her family has proudly run since 1956.

Lindy was truly a child of the eighties and nineties and loved movies and music from that era. Cher was her favorite entertainer and she collected memorabilia and went to every Cher concert she could.

Lindy brought a quiet warmth to everyone who knew her and even to those who didn't know her very well. She was unfailingly kind to everyone who cared for her. Even when she was struggling to breathe and could barely speak, she always thanked the doctors and nurses who treated her.

Lindy was such a vital part of our family. She & her sister Kelly shared an especially close bond. They trusted each other deeply, looked to one another for guidance, and shared a lifetime of laughter and fun.

We will miss Lindy so very much and love her always. May her memory be a comfort and blessing to us all.

Lindy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Blas and Lupe Gonzalez, and Daryl and Phyllis Eriksen. Surviving family includes her Mom, Dad & sister, numerous beloved aunts, uncles and cousins in both the Eriksen and Gonzalez families, and many dear friends.

A celebration of Lindy's life will be scheduled at a later date.
