Jeanne Marie Ferry (nee Sullivan) passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 7th, 2021 at the age of 91.
Born October 26, 1929 in Lemont, Illinois, a lifelong resident of Lockport. Jeanne graduated from Lemont High School. On June 17, 1950 she married Raymond Ferry.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Emma Sullivan, her brothers, Ray and Bob, her son, Michael (1970) and husband Raymond (2014).
Jeanne is survived by her sister, June Donahue, her sons, Kenneth (Barbara Jo), Steve (Delois), and Thomas. Granddaughters Kara (Art) Abarca, Nina (David) Lantz and Natalie (Brandon) Shields. One great-grandson, Joseph Michael Abarca and sister-in-law, Regina Wanda. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Jeanne was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lockport and belonged to the Lemont Women's Auxiliary. In her "golden-years" Jeanne enjoyed traveling with Ray and her hobbies: bowling, and bingo.
Jeanne's family would like to extend their gratitude to Denise Woerly, her caretaker who lovingly helped care for Jeanne in her final years of life.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jeanne's name may be sent to St. Joseph School, 529 Madison St. Lockport, where her great-grandson, JoJo, is a proud second grader.
