Joseph Coppedge Obituary

Joseph Wayne Coppedge, 81, went to be with the Lord January 20, 2026. Born in Nash County on October 30, 1944 to the late Wayne Coppedge and Ruth Edwards Coppedge.

Joe is rejoicing to be reunited with his beloved wife, Annette Brantley Coppedge. He was also preceded in death by his sister Ann Matthews (Sam) and Rose Skinner.

Joe loved traveling with friends and family, especially when they were willing to stop at all of the yard sales along the way. He enjoyed finding those special treasures at just the right price. Sunday lunches and holiday dinners with his sister Ann and family were a special time for all. Joe held a special place in his heart for his great nephew, Matthew Morgan and niece, Samantha Puckett and enjoyed sharing funny memories and jokes with them.

The family would like to thank the staff of Gentiva Hospice of Wilson and Jeff Morgan for the loving care shown to Joe during his illness.

Visitation will be held at Cornerstone Funeral Home Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 6:00-800pm and a graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday January 23, 2026 at Oakdale Cemetery in Spring Hope NC. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice Foundation 2841 Daisy Lane Ste E Wilson, NC 27896.
