Mary Ann Hamilton, 88, passed away on January 25, 2026.
Marry Ann Beale was born on April 22, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, weighing only 3 lb 4 oz. In spite of her tough beginning, she went on to live an active, interesting life. She lived in Idaho, Utah, Washington, Hawaii, and Illinois. She worked as a ballet dancer, stewardess, and nurse.
Mary Ann had 3 children from previous marriages, but married Hurley Hamilton, the love of her life, on December 30, 1988.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many positions.
Mary Ann loved to travel, and visited several foreign countries and dozens of states. She loved animals, reading, gardening and needlework. She especially loved spending time at the family cabin in Island Park where she enjoyed the wildlife and spending time in nature.
She is survived by her children, Junann (Scott) Cobia, Lance (Cindy) Taylor, DeLaina Baker, David (MaryLynn) Holbeny, Vera Ellen (David) Ward, Bonnie (Glen) Cox, Shirley Gray, Clifford (Allyson), George (Michelle) Hamilton; grandchildren, Wayne, Brandy, Matthew, Adam, James, Travis, Melissa, Kimberly, Natalie, Ashley, Heidee, Haylee, Tod, Rafael, Leslie, Callie Ann, Drew, Max, Jodi, Vance, Tyler, Serica, Kayli, Kieran, Severin, Lyndi, Trenton, Kindra, Melinda, Charlene, Cinnamon, Kyle, Kurt, Kevin; 49 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Ella Beale; husband, Hurley Hamilton; granddaughter, Rachel Cobia; mother in law, Vera Prouse; daughter in law, Charlene Wiemer; and son, Thomas Hamilton.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID. A gathering will be held prior beginning at 9:30 am. Burial will follow the service at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery, 4600 S Yellowstone Highway, Idaho Falls, ID.
