Maureen Quine Obituary

QUINE, Maureen A. (Malone) Of Annisquam, formerly Winchester, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026. Maureen was surrounded by her loving family during the last days of her life. Born in 1933 to James F. Malone and Mary Lillis Malone in Boston, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Winslow Quine; and the loving mother of Margaret Walker and her husband Greg, Robert Quine, Jr. and his wife MaryEllen, Susan Quine, Lisa Walker, and Peter Quine and his wife Margaret Moynihan. She was the adoring Nonnie to 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, in addition to many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Rosemary O'Brien, Nancy Bekins, and James Malone. Maureen graduated from Trinity College before earning her master's in library science from Boston University. She spent 25 years as an elementary teacher in the Winchester Public Schools. She was an avid reader and writer; she valued her many pen-pals. She was a longtime member of the Annisquam Yacht Club, the Sewing Circle, Book Club, Bridge Club, and a past president of the Good Neighbors. She was a proud member of the 100 Women Who Care, Cape Ann.
