Judy Lucille Brandl

Judy Lucille Brandl of Bellevue, NE, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026.

Judy was born to Harry and Lois Harmeyer on August 30, 1951, in Carroll, Iowa. She later went on to marry John Brandl on May 3, 1974, and was married for 32 years. They had three beautiful children together: Jonathan, Amanda, and Sarah. Judy loved to read, go to movies, do jigsaw puzzles, play bingo, and especially enjoyed balloon racquetball. She was a calm and maternal presence and was often quiet, but her actions spoke volumes. Judy had a way of making everyone around her feel comfortable and welcomed.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lois Harmeyer; son, Jonathan Brandl; brothers-in-law, Henderson Gines, Jr., and Rick St. Peter; and sister-in-law, Kris Conway- Harmeyer.

She is survived by her daughters, Amanda (Chris) Miller of NE and Sarah (Jake) Chantry of NE; grandchildren, Angel (Jordan) Sexton of FL, Heather (Gregory) Chantry- Crawley of CO, and MacKenzie Miller of NE; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Evelynn Sexton of FL and Lilith and Freya Chantry- Crawley of CO; nine siblings; and many other loving family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a rosary at John A. Gentleman's Bellevue Chapel, located at 3402 Samson Way, Bellevue, NE. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at St. Columbkille Church at 10 a.m. There will be a luncheon at the church following the funeral mass. Judy will be interred at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Carroll, IA.
