Helen Crowder Obituary

Helen Crowder, age 98, of Council Bluffs, passed away January 24, 2026, at Country House in Council Bluffs.
Helen was born August 1,1927, in David City, NE, to the late Hobert and Agnes (Humlicek) Tranda. She married Calvin Crowder on June 9, 1951, in Omaha, NE. They were blessed with son, Ben. Helen worked at Tip Top for many years and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin in 2012; son, Ben in 2017; granddaughter, Michelle in 2006; and four siblings.
Helen is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Crowder; grandson, David Crowder both of Glenwood, IA; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, February 2, 2026, 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church. A lunch will immediately follow in Kottas Hall at St. Peter's. Interment, Hazel Dell Cemetery. Visitation with the family, one hour prior to the mass on Monday, at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
