Trudy Jean Roberts was born on April 19, 1955, in Albert Lea, Minnesota. She was the fourth child born to the late Richard and Mavis Roberts. Trudy attended high school in Ellendale, Minnesota and worked many years at the ABC Building Community. While in Rochester, she lived at Cedarwood through REM housing. She never married or had children, but she had a fond love for animals. Her affection for animals was displayed by her love for her cat, Max. She loved every kitty she met with her whole heart.
Trudy was always a generous person, always wanting to give to others with gifts and treats. She was quick to compliment others wherever she went. She paid attention to details, always looking to give a compliment that made others feel good. She had a way of making anyone smile, even a total stranger.
She is survived by her siblings: Julie Roberts-Piper of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Marcia (Greg Clough) DeVriendt of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Bruce Roberts of Ellendale, Minnesota, Mike Roberts of Ellendale, Minnesota, and Kim (Richard Roy) Roberts of Menomonie, Wisconsin. She had 10 nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Mavis Roberts; uncles Donald, Milton, and LaVerne Roberts, Ernie Christenson, and Gerald Simon; her aunts Harriet Christenson and Karen Roberts; and first cousin Janet Goodmanson.
The family would like to thank Seasons Hospice and the entire staff of the Cedarwood Group Home who always treated Trudy like family.
Trudy will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Memorials can be donated in her name to a local Humane Society or to her family who will donate on her behalf.
