Stormy Jean Morris Dagel, age 45, of Sibley, Iowa, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Mayo Clinic St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota surrounded by her family.
A memorial service will take place at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the United Methodist Church in Sibley with lunch to follow.
Burial will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Primghar, Iowa.
Stormy Jean Morris Dagel was born October 6, 1980, the daughter of Chester William and Gloria Jean (Larsen) Morris in Sheldon, Iowa.
She grew up on an acreage outside of Sheldon, Iowa and graduated from Sheldon High School in 2000.
On December 27, 2014, Stormy was united in marriage to Adam Dagel at the United Methodist Church in Sibley, Iowa. They made their home in Sibley.
In the past Stormy worked at the Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon, and more recently at the Bright Beginnings Daycare in Sibley.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sibley. She enjoyed cats and dogs, reading the bible, adult coloring books, and going to the cabin by Long Lake, Minnesota. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. Her family remembers her as caring, sweet, and loving. Everyone who met her, liked her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Adam; mother, Gloria; siblings, Yancy, Corey (Susie), and Rowdy; mother-in-law, Karen Dagel Whitham; brothers-in-law, Jed (Jennifer), Luke (Windy), and Wyatt (Katy); nieces and nephews, Patience, Samantha, Gage, Gaven, Browning, Josephine, Benelli, Taylor Kelsey, Tristan, Natalie, and John; aunts and uncles, Phil and Cheryl Larsen, Sharon and Daryl Roos, and Marla(Tim Redman) Morris; along with many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Morris; grandparents, Bill and Margaret Morris and Charles and Opal Larsen; aunt, Phyllis Larsen Fear; cousin, Paul Roos; father-in-law, John Dagel; and step father-in-law, Jim Whitham.
