Shirley Powell Obituary

Shirley G. Powell, of Georgetown, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Westford House in Westford, MA.
She was born in Melrose, MA on February 15, 1944, daughter of the late Paul and Ethel Perkins.
She was very active in her church. She was a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts for over a decade. She was on the committee for the Georgetown Days celebration.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband Edward C. Powell, Sr. and her son Edward C. Powell, Jr. and her sisters; Sylvia Osgood, Joanne Brandt, Carol Bickford and Sandra Boynton.
She is survived by her sons; Michael S. Powell of Georgetown, MA, Steven J. Powell and his fiancé Dana of Haverhill, MA, siblings; George Perkins of Derry, NH, Larry Perkins of Newton, NH and Laurel Essery of Saugus, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, January 31st from 10-11 am at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford. Service will follow at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date at Harmony Cemetery in Georgetown.
