Dennis Leland, age 59, a resident of Two Rivers, died unexpectedly, Monday, January 5, 2026.
Dennis was born in Two Rivers to Tom and Mary Sue (Schroeder) Leland.
On August 29, 1992, he was united in marriage to Mary Wisniewski at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Two Rivers. The couple was blessed with 33 years of marriage and two children.
Dennis was currently employed at Formrite, working as the night foreman. This year would’ve marked 30 dedicated years of employment.
In his younger years, Dennis enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. Dennis also was especially fond of his car and took great pride in caring for it.
A talented carpenter, he could just about build anything, his craftsmanship skills were admirable.
He was a natural with babies and children; he had a way making kids feel happy and safe in his arms. He was always there to help anyone; he never hesitated to lend a hand or offer support when it was needed. Dennis was a selfless man, a longtime blood donor, quietly helping save countless lives. He believed that helping others was simply the right thing to do.
He was a big fan of Wisconsin sports teams, ranging from the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer them on.
Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; daughter, Kayla Leland; son, Tony Leland; parents, Tom and Mary Sue Leland; brother, Todd (Amy) Leland and children, Michelle and Tiffany, Heather Nygren (special friend, Scott Bowden) and children Ava and Josh, Holli (Sean) Mcfarland and children Nona and Rowan; brothers-in-law: Ben Nelson and children Finn, Liesl and Silas, Dennis (Sue) Wisniewski and children Heather, Andy, and Alicia; sister-in-law, Marcia Wisniewski; nieces, Holly, Ariel and Aubrey. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Heidi Nelson.
A funeral service will be held at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Road, Two Rivers, on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Father Dave Pleier will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial with burial at Knollwood Memorial Park at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
