Sharon Chelius Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 3, 2026.
Sharon Kay (Williams) Chelius, 69, of Houston, TX, passed away on January 13, 2026. She was born June 2, 1956, in Carthage, MO to parents, Charles Williams and Florence Jennings Williams.

Sharon graduated from MacArthur High School in 1974 and pursued a successful career as a file clerk in the mortgage and oil & gas industries. Sharon was meticulously organized and took great pride in her work.

Sharon enjoyed cats, especially her beloved Spunky, singing karaoke, writing poetry and songs for her loved ones, and playing board games, cards, and dice. She loved enjoying Christmas music and movies year-round.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and oldest brother Jackie Williams, twin brother Mike Williams, and sister Penny Diane Williams. She leaves behind a loving family to treasure her memory: her devoted husband of 40 years and biggest karaoke fan, Kenneth (Ken) Chelius; her children, Shawn Samuels, Lynda Samuels McCormack and husband Scott, Jamie Chelius, and Kendra (Chelius) Martinez and husband, Angel; her grandchildren Joshua, Arson, Draven, and Lincoln; her brothers John Williams and wife, Linda, and Frank Williams and wife, Connie; her first husband, friend, and father of Shawn and Lynda, Jack Samuels; and a wide network of loving friends and family.

Sharon will always be remembered and cherished for her many roles and titles: Mimi, Momma, Sissy, Babe, family, and friend.

A Celebration of Life to include music, singing, and games in honor of Sharon's favorite things will be held at a later date once her family has had time to grieve and plan. If you would like an invitation, please email [email protected] for information. In lieu of flowers, please submit donations in Sharon's name to a local animal rescue.
