Patrick Whalen Johns 54, of Shiloh, IL, born Thursday, September 23, 1971, in Belleville, IL, passed away January 23, 2026.

Patrick was born in Belleville, IL on September 23, 1971, and attended Okawville Grade School, Okawville, IL., Grant Elementary School, Fairview Heights, IL. and Belleville East High School, Belleville, IL. He worked for several years as an over the road truck driver, and drove a school bus for Schmale Bus Service, Nashville, IL. Patrick had a passion for working on cars and trucks, gardening, fishing and barbequing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jay Johns Jr., mother Cheryl Davies (nee Dillon) Johns, paternal grandfather, Jay Johns Sr., paternal grandmother, Lorraine Johns, maternal grandfather, Donald Dillon, maternal grandmother, Norma (nee Alves) Dillon, niece, Mikel Kinney, nephew, Timothy Reichling, uncles, Michael Dillon and Russel Curtis, aunt, Darlene Chenoweth.

Surviving are his children, Christopher, Kyle, Katie, and Chloe; two brothers and one sister, Jay (Marcie) Johns of Freeburg, IL., Michelle Johns (Charles Kinney) of Shiloh, IL. and Eric (Michelle) Johns, of Oakdale, IL.; nieces and nephews, Steve, Dylan, Niven, Alec, and Nicholas; cousins, Katie, Jarod, David, Sarah, and Summer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at kalmermemorialservices.com.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday January 29, 2026, at Kalmer Memorial Services, 8638 US Hwy 50, located between Lebanon and O'Fallon.

Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation with Rev. Michael Arockiam officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
