Gregory Sdrakas Obituary

Gregory Sdrakas, age 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, just shy of his 74th birthday.

Gregory was born on January 24, 1952, in Mavromati, Karditsa Greece. He was a devoted husband and a loving, caring father and grandfather whose presence, strength, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Kalliopi Sdrakas (née Tsolakis), and was the devoted father of Socrates (Theresa), Elias (Kelly), and Voula Lekaj (Pete). Gregory was a cherished grandfather to Kalliann, Katelyn, Gregory, Abigail, Gregory, Sophia, and Olivia, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Gregory was the beloved son of the late Socrates and Stavroula (née Konini) Sdrakas, and brother of the late Evangelos, Manthos, and George. He was also a beloved uncle and cousin to many.

Visitation and funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 29 at

Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church 2187 West 14th Street. Visitation from 10 to 11AM with Funeral Service to follow at 11AM.

Interment will follow at St. Theodosius Cemetery.

Gregory's life was marked by love, dedication to family, and quiet strength. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion and warmth that will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
