Marilyn Kay Koscianski, 85, of
Ponte Vedra, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026. She was born in
Winona, Minnesota on August 2, 1940, to the late Willard and Lois (Brown) Matzke. She graduated from Winona Senior High School and married the love of her life, Michael J. Koscianski, on May 15, 1960.
Marilyn worked as an office manager for Simmons and Clay Oil. She also devoted her time to the Catholic diocese by way of a Eucharistic Minister and held many other volunteer positions.
Marilyn was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and devoted friend. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family with her husband of 50 years, Michael. Their BBQ's and block parties were legendary. She was an avid reader, enjoyed nature, bird watching, traveling, cooking, gardening, card games, and volunteering. She always looked forward to family reunions, whether it was summers in Minnesota or at Thanksgiving, which was her favorite holiday. In her later years, she truly valued the time she spent with her four brothers on their yearly vacation. They picked a new destination every year and just enjoyed spending time together while traveling, playing cards and dominos. She was a staple in her daughters and grandchildren's lives, and she had a never-ending love for her family. Her kind, supportive and compassionate heart will be missed by those who knew her.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Lois; her husband, Michael J. Koscianski and one brother, Warren Matzke.
Marilyn is survived by her two daughters, Melinda Koscianski (Ashley) of
Duck Key, FL and Monica Bridgewater (Matthew) of
Ponte Vedra, FL; four grandchildren, Robbie Bridgewater (Gabby), Haley Shepherd (Will), Jacob Belanger, Mya Bridgewater; one great grandchild, Sadie Shepherd; three brothers, Merle Matzke (Lorraine),
Perham, MN; Gordon Matzke (Mary Ann),
