Linda Johnson Obituary

Linda Louise Johnson, 77, of Cloquet, MN, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and loved ones on Sunday, January 25th, 2026.

Born to Herbert and Sussanna (Nett) Kunitz on September 22nd, 1948, in Minneapolis, MN, Linda leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and selflessness. She was the steady presence in her family, the rock everyone depended on, and the one you could count on no matter the circumstance.

Linda was married to her loving husband, Kenneth Johnson, with whom she built a life centered around family and togetherness. She was a devoted mother to Jeffery (Rachel) Johnson, Michael (Andrew) Johnson, and Andrea (Ross) Korpela. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren, Jada (Sam) Heskin, Dominic Johnson, and Presley Niemi, and again with her great-grandchild, Koehn Heskin, whom she cherished deeply.

Linda's nurturing heart extended far beyond her family through her work in daycare, where she became a second mother to countless children, including her children's friends and those in her care. She gave freely of her time, love, and support, never expecting anything in return, and will be remembered for her kindness, dependability, and the comfort she brought to everyone around her. Linda had a rare ability to make people feel at home simply by being herself. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet from 1pm-3pm.
