Judith Francie (Deems) Phelan, daughter of the late Junior and Mildred (Sutherland) Deems, was born February 13, 1947, in Joplin, Missouri, and departed this life January 27, 2026, at her home in Mansfield, Missouri, at 78 years of age.

Judy loved being a mother and tried to be the very best that she could be. She loved her children with all her heart. She worked many jobs throughout her life, but her last career she chose was to be a teacher of Natural Health and The Gospel.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she was very spiritual and loved the Lord so much. She liked sharing her love with everyone and hoped we all could be together in Heaven.

As the older sister, she took her hierarchy seriously, giving sisterly advice as she perceived it to be ideas we needed to know. She liked having fun with her friends from the Church and with her family. She also enjoyed dancing, movies, and taking short trips with a fun destination in mind.

Judy and Helen were able to spend some fun days in Branson together, but just being together was enough.

Judy was preceded in death by two sons, her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

She leaves behind two daughters, two sons, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two brothers, and four sisters who will miss her.

JUDY TOUCHED MANY WITH HER LOVE & SHE WAS LOVED BY MANY.
