John Fekette Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc. on Jan. 30, 2026.
John Fekette, 87, of New Milford, PA entered into rest on January 28, 2026. He is the son of the late John and Rose Fekette; and was also predeceased by a brother, Edward Fekette; a sister, Rosalia Fekette; and a grandson, Riley Fekette.

John is survived by his children, Dean (Tina) Fekette and Randy Fekette (Michele); six grandchildren, Cliff (Libby), Garrett (Priscilla), Hayleigh (Will), Taylor, Dylan (Katherine), and Hunter; five great grandchildren, Wyatt, Avery, Romee, Nora, and Matthew; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

John graduated from Cressona High School in 1958. He entered the United States Navy serving on the USS Hornet. Upon discharge from the Navy, he joined the Pennsylvania Police Academy. He served with honor alongside his Law Enforcement Family until his retirement in 1986. John worked several years in security following his departure from the line of duty. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting firewood, woodworking, picking wild mushrooms, and watching football, especially Penn State. One of his favorite past times was going to his hunting camp and the North Forty property. John loved his family and his career taught him to protect his family and privacy. He always maintained his sense of humor throughout his life.

At his request, there will be no public services. Spring interment will be made in Lakeview Cemetery.
