John Raymond “Ace” Houston was born on December 11, 1946, to Raymond and Helen (Hawn) Houston. He graduated from Woodbine High School in 1965. Ace worked for over thirty years at IBP and Tyson packing houses in Denison. He also helped on the family farm and assisted in looking over the cattle.

Ace was deeply committed to giving back to others. He dedicated countless hours to various charitable organizations and served as a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Ace also helped with the Religious Education Program on Wednesday nights. He found joy in little things, including scratching off lottery tickets that often brought a smile to his face.
