Addie Lee Brihm, 103, of Columbus, Ohio was called home by our Heavenly Father on Friday, January 23, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alonza Sr. and Lizzie Dukes, her husband, Phillip Brihm Sr., sisters, Annie Bell, Hattie Mae, Lizzie Lu, Jessie Mae, Mary Pearl, Doris Dukes and brothers, Alonza Jr., Robert Dukes, daughters, Alma Randall, Queen Esther Dukes Williams, sons Roy Brihm and Bobby Dukes Sr.

Addie Lee was born November 18, 1922, in Waynesboro Georgia and attended Burke County Public Schools. She was a loving wife and mother of 11 children. She united in marriage to Phillip Brihm Sr. and later relocated to Columbus, Ohio. She retired from Ohio School for the Blind in her early 60's after working there for over 30 years. She was a long-time member of Greater Christ Temple Apostolic Church for nearly 50 years. Addie Lee was a God-fearing woman. She loved the Lord with all of her heart, enjoyed going to church, reading the bible and listening to gospel music. She was an excellent cook and often made delicious meals and the best peach cobbler and sweet potato pie. She enjoyed traveling to Georgia and New Jersey to spend time with family and looked forward to attending the Dukes Family Reunions. Addie Lee had a heart of gold. She adored children and cherished visits from her great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She would love on them and shower them with hugs and kisses. Addie Lee was a gentle soul with a sweet, calm, caring spirit. She was highly favored and an inspiration to many.

Addie Lee leaves to cherish in her memory, her loving daughters, Gloria Jean (Arthur-deceased) Battle, Joann (John) Collins, both of Columbus, Ohio, Linda Buckner of Tampa, Florida, sons Phillip (LaVetta) Brihm Jr., Larry (Carolyn) Brihm Sr., John (Kathleen) Brihm, Leon (Tracy) Brihm all of Columbus, Ohio. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

At 103 years old, your life was a true blessing and a testament to strength, perseverance, and love.
You will be deeply missed, and you were so very loved by all who knew you.
Through your words, your actions, and your unwavering spirit, you gave so many of us the inspiration to keep fighting the good fight, no matter how hard life became.
Now, your journey is complete, and you are finally able to rest in peace, reunited with the loved ones who departed long ago.
