Gaston – Carroll L. Millspaugh, 87, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Morrison Woods surrounded by her family.
She was born in Alexandria on December 17, 1938, the daughter of Basil and Margree (Jackson) Collins and graduated from Gaston High School.
Carroll retired from Ball State University Food Service after seventeen years. She loved to shop and especially enjoyed arts and crafts. Carroll was known for her sense of humor and dedication to her grandchildren, always attending their many activities and events.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-eight years, Guy "Bub" Millspaugh; her three children, Gale Fink (Bill), JoEllen Webster (Dane Miller) and Rex Millspaugh (Jana); her grandchildren, Delainie Weaver (Kameron), Rhyan Webster, Jennifer Webster, Denelle Murrell (Alex), Nick Millspaugh (Brooke) and Logan Nicum (Tyler); thirteen great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Carroll was preceded in death by her infant son, Richard Allen Millspaugh; a brother, Don Rex Collins; along with her parents and her in-laws; Guy and Martha Millspaugh.
Services for Carroll will be held privately at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel. Burial will follow in Thompson Cemetery, Gaston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Alzheimer's Association.
