Jessie Elizabeth Thompson, 88, passed away of natural causes at her home in Rozet, WY on January 26, 2026 with her loving family by her side.

Jessie was born on August 14, 1937 to Robert and Allien Green in Barry, IL. She grew up in Cornell, IL where she attended grade school and graduated from Cornell High School. In 1982 she moved to Gillette, Wyoming where her daughter, Vickie and son in law, Kenny lived. She worked for several years at Campbell County Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department. In 1990 she went on a blind date with David (Dave) Thompson and a love story began. They were married on January 12, 1991, just celebrating their 35th Anniversary. They enjoyed riding their Honda Gold Wing all over the country. After Dave retired, they were able to travel to many places, including Alaska, in their RV. Jessie loved to sew before her eyesight became too bad. She was always making something fun for her family. She also loved gardening, baking, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Jessie is survived by her husband Dave; children Paul Kridner, Mike (Barb) Kridner, Vickie (Kenny) Hall, Beth Piper, Kristi (Robin) Bohm, Troy (Natalie) Pearson and daughter-in-law Amy Jo Kridner; her stepdaughter Julie (Bryan) Zimmerman,18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son Rick Kridner, stepsons Jody Thompson and Chris Thompson, son-in-law, Roy Piper, her grandson Timmy Melvin, great-grandson Brandon Kridner-Hale, sisters Wanda and Nancy and brother, Jack, and her beloved dog Snickers.

Gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Gillette Memorial Chapel, 210 West 5th Street, Gillette, WY. Graveside services will be on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Rozet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Gillette/Campbell County Animal Shelter (950 W. Warlow Dr. Gillette, WY 82716) in her honor.
