Jaqueline Jost Obituary

Sister Jacqueline Jost, SSND, 80, died January 26, 2026, at Benedictine Living Community - St. Gertrude's, Shakopee, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, at Windermere Chapel, 1705 Windermere Way, Shakopee, with Visitation at 10:00 AM; Sharing of Memories at 10:30 AM; and a Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 AM. Sister Jacqueline was born in St. Paul on March 15, 1945. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School in St. Paul and enrolled in Good Counsel Academy in Mankato following eighth grade graduation in 1959. She entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Mankato in 1963 and professed first vows in 1965. A kindergarten and primary grade teacher, she taught at several Catholic Schools, including St. Agnes, St. Paul; Shakopee Area Catholic School; and St. Michael School, St. Michael. From 1993 through 1999, she was an early childhood teacher in Homestead, Florida. Beginning in 2000, she tutored in the Good Counsel Learning Center, Mankato, and worked as a nursing assistant in Good Counsel Healthcare. She moved with other School Sisters of Notre Dame to Shakopee in 2022.

Sister Jacqueline is survived by her sisters in community, the School Sisters of Notre Dame and SSND Associates, and her sister Linda Gordy and nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by her mother Dolores Molitor and her sisters Sandy McClaine and Carol Smith.
