Imogene Freas Pinson, 95 of Bucyrus passed peacefully in her sleep from this life into eternity with her Lord and Savior on Monday January 26, 2026.

Imogene was born May 9, 1930 in Franklin, Kentucky and was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, most recently of the Lincoln Ave. Church Bucyrus congregation. She, along with her husband Jerry helped establish the Lincoln Ave. congregation in 1960.

Imogene was born to the late William Sanford and Katie Mae (Henderson) Freas. She was also preceded in death by husband Jerry on March 31, 2002; daughters Kathy Scott and Jennifer Smith; granddaughter Jessica Scott; son in laws Ed Scott and Melvin Smith; as well as grandson in law John Lunsford; and brother Joseph Freas.

Imogene is survived by daughter Rebecca (Jim) Armbruster and son Daniel Pinson; grandchildren Barbi Lunsford, Chuck Scott, Bruce (Shaye Lynn) Scott, Kristy Armbruster, Ryan Armbruster, and Jesse (Elaine) Armbruster, Lyndsey Pinson, Brad Smith, and Katie Smith; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Imogene never met a stranger and always had an open door, especially for those in need. She was a resident of Bucyrus for 68 years. Imogene loved growing flowers and her family enjoyed the fresh fruits and vegetables she canned from the garden Jerry grew. In her later years, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and crochet. Imogene loved her family dearly.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Gordon Franklin officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at a later date at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Franklin Kentucky.

The family suggests memorials be made to the West Virginia School of Preaching or the American Cancer Society and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com.
