Matthew Bonk Obituary

It is with a heavy yet celebratory heart that we announce the passing of Matthew Michael Bonk on January 26, 2026, at the age of 46. Born on November 3, 1979, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Matthew was a cherished son and brother, and he will be lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.

Matthew is preceded in death by his parents, Karen and Jack and is survived by his devoted brother, Michael (Ashley) Bonk; Uncle "Foof" to Beckham, Blakely, Bronson, and Broddee; cherished cousin of Carrie (Ken) Lemmer, Zach (Mady), Ivy and Ashley Premetz. Though he faced challenges throughout his life, he approached each day with a spirit of resilience and warmth. Matthew's journey may have been unique, but he touched the lives of those around him with kindness and a gentle heart. A heartfelt thank you to his loving caregivers, Barb and Mary, your dedication and warmth was appreciated and will never be forgotten.

Friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of Matthew's life at a funeral service to be held at Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Homes Bay View Chapel on February 6, 2026, at 7:00 pm. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, allowing loved ones the opportunity to share their memories and stories.

As we gather to honor Matthew's life, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and celebrate the moments we shared. His smile was infectious and his laugh contagious. His spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
